End of Lease / Pre-Sale Checklist

Kitchen

  • Clean oven inside and out, including racks, trays and door glass

  • Clean stovetop, drip trays and knobs

  • Clean rangehood

  • Clean inside and outside of all cupboards and drawers

  • Wipe benchtops and splashback

  • Clean sink, taps and drain, polish fixtures

  • Clean dishwasher inside

  • Clean fridge cavity and wipe behind where accessible

Laundry

  • Clean laundry tub, taps and cabinets

  • Wipe behind and under washing machine space

  • Clean dryer and lint filter if staying

  • Clean exhaust fan and mop floor

Bathrooms

  • Scrub shower screen, tiles and grout, remove soap scum and mould

  • Clean bath, basin and vanity inside and out

  • Clean and disinfect toilet, including behind and around the base

  • Polish taps, towel rails and fixtures

  • Clean mirrors and exhaust fan cover

  • Wipe cabinets inside and out

  • Mop and disinfect floor

General (All Rooms)

  • Dust and wipe walls, spot clean marks and scuffs

  • Wipe skirting boards, door frames, doors and handles

  • Clean light switches and power points

  • Dust light fittings, ceiling fans and air vents

  • Remove all cobwebs (ceilings and corners)

  • Clean windows inside, sills, tracks

  • Wipe blinds or dust curtains

  • Vacuum and mop all hard floors

  • Vacuum carpets

  • Clean inside wardrobes, shelves and drawers

  • Clean mirrors and glass sliding doors

The following areas are not included in any booking and are not covered by The Greener Cleaner:

  • Sweep garage, remove oil stains from floor and driveway

  • Sweep patio, balcony and paths, remove cobwebs

  • Mow lawns, weed gardens, trim edges

  • Empty and clean bins, letterbox and compost

  • Clean BBQ if it belongs to the property

  • Remove all rubbish and personal belongings from every space including shed and garage

  • Carpet steam cleaning (quoted separately, not normally part of the standard end of lease service)

  • External window cleaning, and any windows at heights or with difficult access

  • Fridge and freezer interior cleaning

  • Blinds beyond standard wipeable ones (Venetians and rollers often quoted per blind, fabric blinds and curtains need a specialist)

  • Pressure washing of driveways, patios and external walls

  • Wall washing beyond spot cleaning (full wall clean requires more time and is only needed when marks exceed normal wear and tear)

  • Pest control and flea fumigation

  • Ceilings (beyond cobweb removal)

  • Mould embedded in silicone, grout and sealant, which needs a specialist to restore

  • Damp spots and rising damp marks (cleaned but no guarantee they won't return)

  • Discolouration from age and wear (yellowed grout, toilets, plastics)

  • Permanent stains, burns and damage (that's repair, not cleaning)

  • Dangerous areas: broken power points or switches, bio-waste, animal faeces, sharps

  • Cleaning behind or under heavy items (typically anything over 5kg must be moved by the client)

  • Inside cupboards that still contain the customer's belongings

  • Rubbish and personal item removal

  • Anything post pest-control that needs re-cleaning
